月光写真について

太陽光の465,000分の1の満月の光で撮影しました。

人類は宇宙時代に入ったと言われています。
宇宙ステーションとのテレビ会談も珍しくありません。
数多くの宇宙探査機が地球に映像を送り人々は宇宙を理解する機会が増々ふえるでしょうが、
しかしどれだけ実感しているのでしょうか。
満月の夜。原野は明るく足元の花の色や風景が月光に照らされて見え、
地平線から天体、銀河、宇宙が一繋がりになって
宇宙の中の地球本来のすがたを見せます。
それは地上で宇宙を実感できる時です。

This photograph was taken in the light of the full moon,
which is 1/465,000 the power of sunlight.

When you stand in the wilderness under the full moon, the colors of the flowers and the landscape around your feet are illuminated by the moonlight. It's a time when you can see the celestial bodies, the galaxies and the universe all linked together, from the Earth's surface to the horizon. It is the true nature of the Earth in the universe. I have been travelling with the full moon since 1984, capturing the precious moments in which we may perceive the universe here on Earth.

『宙ソラへ』福岡県糸島半島

写真展のお知らせ

移住した福岡県の糸島半島で撮影した新作を中心に日本の春夏秋冬の月夜を綴った新作シリーズ「月夜の晩に」。地元福岡で写真展が開催されます。会場は日本有数のプラネタリウムがある福岡市科学館です。この秋、福岡市科学館へ“月光浴”をしにお出掛けください。

作品を表紙に使っていただきました
